Family background (how they met, what do they do for living, why they decided to adopt, what languages do they speak etc., give as much or little detail as you want): Les Grey, comic book artist, first met Miriam Vang, ballet teacher, when they were in middle school, but they were just friends then. It was much later, when Les needed to draw a character doing ballet, that he asked Miri if she minded doing a few poses for him to use as reference. From there, they started seeing each other more often, and eventually friendship turned into romance.

Both Les and Miri speak English as a first language, learnt French in school, and know some Hebrew. Miri is fluent in Yiddish. Both of them practice the Jewish faith.
