Cute.
It's sort of like Malcolm. Doesn't sound formal or aged or surnamey, fits in, is easy to say, recognizable. I think any guy name that hasn't been frequent, that most people have seen only once at most and then on an older guy, seems a tad dorky. Until you meet one who is young.
Dorky, IMO, better describes names like Archibald and Riordan and Hamish.
