Mo and Prue are a young, married biracial couple; Mo is Scottish American and Prue is African American. They met in college and instantly became close friends through shared interest as well as sharing a childhood of poverty and dysfunction. Maurice is a software developer working for a prominent company while Prue is an assisting editor for a publishing house.
