I would have never liked it until I started reading Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson books. Now I've "heard" it so much, and she's such an awesome character, that I like it! I think it's way better than many other virtue-type names, too. Maybe because it's reminiscent of some more commonly used names like Mary, Marcy, or Merry?
