I know it's popular, but I have always liked the sound of it. WDYT?

My son is a Noah. I love it, and I continue to be happy that I chose it for him.

I just don't like the sound of it. It sounds like it's missing letters. Too much vowel-sound. Too wispy. I need something more to grab onto. It's fine, but not something I like hearing.

I've loved Noah since I was about 15, when there was a character on home and away called Noah who I fancied lol
It's always been a strong contender for a name of a future son, but recently my cousin used it for her son (who is gorgeous) so i'm unsure if I can still use it. I never see my cousin (only on fb) so maybe I can. It would mean my Nan would have two great-grandchildren called Noah though (not that I or my cousin really see our nan)

Noah has always been one of my favourites. It was on our list when I was pregnant with Myrtle, but we decided it was too popular. My husband's last name is very common, it's about the second or third most common last name where we live, so we didn't want to use a popular first name. But I still love Noah, it sounds beautiful, soft but strong at the same time, and it looks so nice written down.

Noah's honestly really great and I can't be mad that it's the # 1 name in the U.S. I really love Noa for a girl, but probably wouldn't use it because of the male counterpart. Noa Elisabeth was a fav of mine for a long time!
I also wonder if Noah shot up in popularity with the current population because of The Notebook??? That is, no joke, what drew me to it.

I've liked it for years, but I wouldn't use it now because it's too popular. I also like Noa on a girl.

It was so very cool sounding in 1990 and it's so conventional now that it may as well be Michael or Aiden. I don't hate it.
I've never liked the sound of it because it says NO. They tell you, don't they, never name a pet a name with a strong NO in it because it sounds to the animal like you're scolding? I think human names with a strong NO sound vaguely contradicting or effacing. It's at an unconscious level but it still bothers me.

I really like Noah, but it's popular to the point of unusability for me. It does have a nice sound, though; very light and airy, but the N helps keep it down-to-earth.

It's one of my favorites. I love it. I like how sweet it sounds, yet suitable for a child as well as a grown up.

It's actually quite a lovely name. I suppose that's part of why it's so popular, though it doesn't explain why it's so very suddenly popular. :/

I like it, it's been sneaking onto my list lately. :-) If I had a partner who wouldn't budge off of it I'd be happy enough to use it.
It's popular but it's timeless enough that its popularity doesn't bother me. It puts in it a neat position that lets it "fit" with a range of middle names or siblings.
It reminds me of other names that I think are sweet but sort of pleasantly boring, like John or Katie or Sarah.

I read somewhere that short male names make a man seem more attractive as well as more reliable and trustworthy.
It is popular but not as overused as some names, and the current popularity has removed the 'man with long white beard under a rainbow' image. It would age well on someone but doesn't seem out of place on a young person.
Other male biblical names I quite like are
Seth
Isaac
Nathan
Simeon
Zach (Zachery)
