[Opinions] Rita
Lovely Rita, meter maid. What do you think? What kind of personality do you think a Rita would have? Willoughby wolloughby willina, an elephant sat on Billina.

Rita is really pretty although it's strictly a nn to me. I picture her as someone who has dark features and is exotic, mysterious and exudes sex appeal.

It feels like it should be a nn (for Margarita or something like it). It's nice as a nn; don't think I like it as a given name.Rita feels like she would be bright and cheerful, a bit motherly, outgoing, and probably at least a bit artistic (maybe she paints, sculpts, writes, or plays a musical instrument).

It makes me think of Rita Ora, the singer.

It makes me think of Educating Rita, which is one of my very favourite plays, so of course that's a very positive association for me. I did a small monologue as the character last year and it was a bit of a dream for me. Aside from that, it's a little dated, but not unredeemable. I can imagine a little Marguerite "Rita" running around, and I'd enjoy meeting a little Rita.

I like it as a nn for Margaret. I couldn't see a shy Rita -- she'd always be bold.

I think it's got the kind of cheap, brassy, dated-sexpot vibe as Lola, though not quite as over-the-top. Chain-smoker, bad dye job, clothes too tight for her size and age, heavy makeup, over-long fingernails. Like she was a real hot little number back in the forties but is way past it now and doesn't know it.

That is so interesting!I see a well dressed middle aged woman, with a curled bob. Brunette of course, a couple of well-fed kids and an administrative job that gives her plenty of free time to take the kids to catechism class and make sure they visit Nona every Sunday for pasta dinner. (I have like 15 or more Ritas in my family)
