Help[Opinions] Twin name ideas
I know a lot of people aren't keen on matchy names for twins, but I have a guilty pleasure in them. My favourite female name is Tamsin, and male name Tomás, and as they're both variants of Thomas, meaning twin... I like these combos:
Tomás Corentin Kai
Tamsin Corinne Ophélie
The best thing is that if I ever had children, they could both honour Tomos Corin, I think, which is my beloved brother's name. So:
1. Do you like the combos?
2. Do you think they could honour Tomos Corin?
3. Are they too matchy? (And could I solve this by using the nicknames Tom and Zina [see-na, I'd pronounce it]?)

I like these two together. Normally, I'm not on board with twin sibset themes, however, these are clever and I don't think anyone would pick up on it other than name nerds. I've thought of this kind of thing as well. Let's say the parents wanted to honor two people with both children's names (i.e., Charlotte Isabelle and Elisabeth Caroline). I think it could work although I think your combos are more subtle than mine. BTW, if I had a male twin, I'd be compelled to use Thomas as well!
So yes, I like the combos, they honor Tomos Corin and aren't too matchy. I like the nns as well though I'd probably go with Sina since Zina feels like another name entirely.
Edited to ask how you pronounce Corinne. If the stress is on the second syllable, then I like the flow of Tamsin Corinne Ophelie. If the stress is on the first syllable, then I don't.

1. I'm not that keen on matchy twin names, especially names that are just variations on the same name. But Tomas (sorry about the lack of accent, I'm lazy) and Tamsin do sound good together... so I'm torn. They sound good, by my brain says "they're the same name, you can't do that!"
Tamsin Corinne Ophélie - I think Tamsin Corinne is too close to rhyming. Maybe Tamsin Cori, if you didn't mind the matching endings with Ophélie, or Tamsin Cora? Not sure that Cora would really honour Corin though.

Because the twins are not the same gender, I think it's tolerable, but barely. :) Tomas and Tamsin share way too many sounds to even be sibling names, in my opinion.

I like Tamsin and Corinne but they are too rhyme-y together.

As a twin with a matchy name, most matchy names make me cringe.
However, leaving that opinion aside, I do quite like both Tamsin and Tomás.
1. I like the combos on their own, just not together. Kai seems misplaced, but it flows so I would take your preference over mine. Tamsin combo is just lovely.
2. Yes. They are obviously inspired by the name Tomos Corin.
3. I think they are too matchy, yes. But, as I said before... I am sensitive when it comes to twin names. Matching names for multiples is a common practice, so I wouldn't say this set is unusable. I would only say that it is not my taste.

1. Yes. I like the flow in both, especially the boy combo. I might change Ophelie to Ophelia because I like the way the combo sounds better that way but that's just me.

3. The first names are not, in my opinion. At least, not in sound. I do think with the first middle names they are too matchy but since no one really knows middle names, I don't think it's a problem.

That happens to me, too! I think most of the time it's best to just go with the name you love most overall. It seems like you'd have less regrets that way :)
