I love it! I personally think it's usable. I'd pair it with a more "normal" middle name, though. Artemisia Jane is a charming combination, I think.

I think it's usable enough. Of course it's quite over the top and frilly, but so what? I like those types of names sometimes. I think Artemisia is beautiful. I've always liked the idea of Artie as a nickname for a girl, which in this case would be the perfect balance- the very girly Artemisia and the more tomboyish Artie means it can fit anyone.

I like it, but I do prefer Artemis. It seems less fussy and more independent. Artemisia does add a more exotic flair, though. As for usability, I'd say so. It's a pretty name with loads of nickname options (Artie, Emma, Emmy, Missy, Sissy). Maybe...

Hfm. I can't seem to put my finger on what kind of middle name goes with it...

A few years back, I went through this phase where I thought using art-related names was the bees knees. I was gaga for Artemisia, Rosetti (which should actually be Rossetti, whatevs), and Dali.

I always suggest Rose, Fern, Lark and Wren because I think they are sweet, but maybe Artemisia Lark and Artemisia Wren are too flimsy, IDK...

I've always liked it, but I think it probably is too much for naming a child, unless you can think up a terribly mainstrean nickname! I do like Mimi for a little girl. I would use it as a middle to a shorter name- Ruth Artemisia is a favourite of mine.
