I would say 'MELL-ih-sand' or 'ell-ih-SAND'. It's a cool name but I prefer Melicent.

I believe it would be meh-lih-SAHND, the final e being silent. Just like Melissa, the "me-" and "li-" syllables would be short and mild. The emphasis would be on the final syllable, somewhat drawn out.

I actually like it. It's a nice alternative to Melissa (I also use it as a sort of nickname for my friend Melissa sometimes)

I'd pronounce it, Mel-ee -sand, equal stress on each syllable, but that's just a guess. If that's how one says it, i love it.

Well, pronounced in french it would be something like May-Lee-z-AHN-D, I don't really know if that makes sens... lol But I hane no idea how I would pronounce it in english :)

It's a pretty popular french name.

Theres also Mélissandre that would be pronounced like sss rather than zzz :)

I actually have no idea. Mélisandrée is probably a combination of Melissa and Andrée or Mélisande and Andrée, but I don't even know if it's a real name, but I know someone named that.

(Wow I have problems with my spelling tonight! lol)
