Guigone is the feminine form of
Guiges/Guigon, which is apparently the old French form of the Germanic name
Wigo, from Germanic "wig" (war). See names like
Wigburg,
Guiomar,
Viggo, and the English

Wyatt).
Guigon / Guygon still survives as a surname in
France (in many different variations).
