[Facts] The name Tambra
The origin of Tambra is from Israel and is a Hebrew name. It is not well known, because it originally was used to name King of Israel's household pet dog, Tambra. From what I am told, the dog was Tamar's responsibility.
My mother gave me the name when the Rabbi declared that she had to name a Jewish name in order to be set apart for the Lord.
It is a name that is supposed to be "friend of the King". Also means Palm Tree, which ushers in the Messiah.

By "King," I am guessing that you mean David, since you made reference to Tamar. Is that correct?
If so, what text tells you that it was David's dog's name? (It would be extra-Biblical history.)
Yes, TAMAR means "palm tree," but that doesn't account for the name TAMBRA. It may have ties to TAMBOURINE/TIMBREL.
(Also, is TAMBRA a male name or female?)
