My rule of thumb is that you can always enforce calling your child by their proper name Tobias, but you won't be able to keep his friends or classmates from calling him Toby, Tobes, whatever nickname they can think of when that time comes.

I usually think of Chris as short for Christopher, not Christian, at least not where I grew up.

I still prefer Theodore, but Tobias is nice. I really like the combination you've used. I prefer Daphne with this.
