[Opinions] Exie and Exa

I was looking through the popularity charts and I saw the names Exie and Exa. I thought that they were cool (in theory). What could they be nicknames for?

Maybe it's a feminized version of Xavier? If you say it Eks-ay-vee-er.

ExérineI've come across Exérine quite a few times in Canadian birth/death records. It seems to be confined to Canada. I've no idea what it means or where it originated from - not France, as far as I can tell. It would definitely shorten to Exie though!

If it's exclusively olden-timey French Canadian, maybe it's a French version of an obscure saint - they seemed pretty fond of that sort of thing.

I guess any name beginning with an 'X', such as Xenia, Xena, Xantha, Xanthe, Xavier. Or like Rachel Shaina said, Alexandra or Alexander.I can't think of anything beginning with 'Ex' except Exodus (which is a bad name for a person!).

I really like Exie, I'd use it if I used Exuperantia as a full name.Reasonably, anything with -ex- in it... Alexandra -> Lexie -> Exie / Alexandra -> Lexa - > Exa. You can probably get away with using them on their own too, since it's kind of obscure.
