[Opinions] Quentin, Quincey, and Quinn (oh, and...)
I really fancy these three today, so what do you think of each and which do you prefer? Quentin would be a nod to Tarantino and Blake. Quincey a nod to Quincey P. Morris from Stoker's Dracula. Quinn would be a nod to nothing much, but could and probably would be used as a nickname for both of the former. ETA: Benvolio - is it ever usable? Yea or nay? Much obliged!

I fancy Quincy so very much! But the Quincey spelling is okay too. I like Quinn, but more as a nickname than a full name. Also, I really like it as a middle name. Not much better than Q as a middle initial. Quentin is okay, it's just my least favourite of the three. How about Quinlan or Quinten? Also, similar: Quidel?Benvolio sounds a bit pretentious to me. Not unusable but it would turn heads.

I simply adore Quentin, and would readily use it, although in my case it would be in spite of Tarantino rather than because of him. I dislike Quincey as it makes me think of a fat frog with glasses. I also dislike Quinn and would not like to see it used as a nickname for Quentin. I do not see that as intuitive. It seems rather forced.

I enjoy Quentin and Quintin. Quincey is too close to a sore throat. Quinn - yeah, a suitable nn, but what about the Mighty Eskimo? Surely the ultimate role model?Benvolio? Not the best way of achieving a son known as Ben, but worse things happen daily.

Quotewhat about the Mighty Eskimo?
I had to google this, strange I've never heard of it before!
The trouble with Benvolio, for me, is that I don't much like Ben. I'd have to go with Benvolio "Leo", if anything.

I'm so glad I could expand your musical horizons! Nothing like sharing one's favourite earworms ...I rather think that the gravitational force of the first syllable will make Ben the default nn for Benvolio. Pity - Leo is a good choice.

I like Quinn for a girl. Benvolio would make a rockin' middle name, IMO.

Quinn for a girl is a total guilty pleasure of mine!

I have been thinking about Quincy / Quincey lately because I found out that someone I went to high school with has a son named Quincy. His nn is Quince. Quince is a cute nn but I would use Quinn as a nn if I had a son named Quincy.Quincy makes me think of John Quincy Adams and Quincy Jones. It also slightly reminds me of Mayor Quimby from Simpsons - I always thought if you took Quimby and Clancy from the Simpsons you would get Quincy. I know odd association to have.I like Quinn though I always have a hard time truly loving such a short name. I feel like it needs more but I don't fully love any of the two syllable Quinn names. I do really Quinten and Quinton but I feel like there is a little too much n sound in the name. Quincy is too much of a surname and a little too cute. Quinlan I sometimes like but then other times all I hear is Quinn Land and still too much n. Quentin is okay but also too much n. Also I prefer the sound of Quinn to Quen.So Quinn or Quinton / Quinten are my favorites with Quincy being my third favorite.

I did ponder Quinlan, but it doesn't seem legitimate to me, oddly. I honestly much prefer the spelling of Quincey, too.
