[Games] Re: LadyBug's Simple Congrats - Round 4
This eound, someone dies. I hope you don't mind. If you do, I shall find a way to set it right again. Superheroes and their relations notoriously never stay dead (except if they're Uncle Ben).La Reina

For a year and a half, the Winters household lived in exile, with only Mal remaining in the city to go back and forth between it and the rest of his family. But finally, things cooled down enough for them to move back to town. The next year, Iris was born. And then, it was as if suddenly all hell was set loose. A superhero known as Lady Lioness... went mad. Lady Li had always been known for her erratic tempers, but for unknown reasons, her mind seemed to have finally snapped, and she had went on a wild rampage on the streets, attacking innocent bystanders while shouting that everyone is guilty of something. Finding her too dangerous and cannot be reasoned with, two of her former colleagues, Glacia and Supersonic, rushed to stop her. In the end, Lady Li was stopped, but at a hefty price: sixty-three people died. Amongst the casualties were Lady Lioness herself, and Glacia, who had sacrificed herself to stop the feral attacks. As a result, supwrpowered people, never particularly popular in first place, were suddenly seen as a massive threat as nation-wide paranoia swept. Protesters demand that superheroics be severely regulated, or even outlawed altogether. Pros and cons everywhere create intense debates.Throughout all this, Mal and Eira kept their civilian and super identities busy. Obsidian even made her first reappearance after years of public invisibility, emerging again to reassert her disagreement with the restraints discussed upon superheroics. While Mal and Eira realise that too many superhumans are at risk of harming civilians, inadvertently or otherwise, they also know that regulation would harshly limit and even hinder heroes from doing their job. For one, Mal would no longer be able to operate within his fake supervillain modus operandi. The debates went for some time. At first they were just that: debates. Then it escalated.A riot broke out when a mob of protesters caught sight of Blackhawk watching over them. They starred to shout obscenities and insults against him. This infuriated Supersonic, who also happened to be present, and he used his super-speed to humiliate the protesters by making them punch themselves. The situation starts to get hot, and Obsidian steps in to mediate.Someone from the crowd, unidentifiable and untraceable, fires a gun.Obsidian drops to the ground. Red oozes from a hole at the back of her head. The mob pauses, too shocked to continue their act. Blackhawk falls to his knees. Within a flash, Obsidian's corpse was gone, and so was Supersonic. Only a scarlet pool was left on the pavement.

Mutatis mutandis. Si non confectus, non reficiat.
