I love Ingrid! It's classic, elegant and it has a nice touch of vintage. The factor I like most in Ingrid is that it's feminine without being frilly (like Hola put it): in fact, Ingrid is quite a strong name.
Personally, I would use Ingrid as a MN: I'm loving such combos as Elsa Ingrid and Elsa Ingrid Johanna (Johanna is my MN).
