I'd never use it and think it's a stupid name, but then again I live there.
It doesn't strike me as pretty either. It has a very harsh sound to me. I've always wondered what the appeal is with it.
I don't have anything against other place names, my favourite name is India and there are others I like. I just wouldn't use London.
