I have never liked the name Jesse, but do like more simple Jess for a boy. Is it too nicknamey though, or feminine? Is it any more feminine than Jesse? I really like this one but for me Jesse is not an option.

I love Jess for a boy! I definitely don't think it's too much of a nickname to stand alone.

I personally love the name Jesse and find it to be quite strong and masculine. Jess on the other hand sounds a lot softer to me, therefore I would not use it as a full name for a boy.

I don't think it's too feminine, but it's incomplete. My brother's name is Jesse and sometimes I call him Jess, but if he were JUST Jess, it would be weird.

I think it's too nickname to use for the full given name.
