One of my students became a big sister last night. Dayana's new brother is Christopher.

I love the name Christopher. I just think it's sad that his sister is called Dayana. It sounds so made up (probably because of the spelling...)

That's exactly what I thought :( I wonder if it's pronounced like Diana (which I love!)

Mom is from Honduras, and I'm not sure where their dads are from (I think they have different fathers, not 100% sure, though). Dayana in English is like Diana, in Spanish also like Diana, just with the accent. Her first name is actually Dilsia, which she doesn't like, so we call her by her middle name.

Nice name. So great to see a name like that and not another Jayden, Zayden, and so forth.
