Help[Opinions] Corinne
My co-worker has a daughter named Corrine, who is about 30 years old now. She has been complaining to me for the last week or so that she's never met another Corinne and how unhappy she is that nobody else names their kid that. I told her I do know a twelve year old Corinne. Personally, I'd rather that I didn't know any other people with the same name as my kid than to have five or six of them in the same class. Anyway, her big fear is that everyone dislikes the name and that's why nobody uses it. I assured her that I do like it very much and there are probably others out there who do. WDYTO Corinne?

Not a Corinne, but I do know a Corinna. I think it's a lovely name. Uncommon and lovely. Distinctive.

I like it - it's unusual and striking - but only if pronounced corINN, as corryn pronounced CORin is the Welsh word for spider (not a fan, lol.) I've never met one, but just before Christmas I was walking in a wood and heard someone calling the name out, presumably to a child. So they are around, just not common.

I think it's gorgeous. It's just one of those that I love to see other people use but wouldn't consider myself... Don't know why really

Corinne is very nice; the feel of it, for me, is "soft elegance". I can't honestly say I would use it because I have a couple of other longtime "Cor" favorites that have priority, but I would be very pleased to meet a new little Corinne. I've never heard the name spoken about in a negative way, so I would not assume it's a name most people don't like.

I like Corinne. It's been growing on me in the past few years, I used to think it sounded sort of harsh but now I'm thinking I was just crazy. Although I do still like it said in French a bit better. One of my mum's good friends is named Corinne, she's a very lovely woman.

I love Corinne. This is thanks to Corinne Bailey Rae, the singer, whom I adore. Corrine also happens to be my niece's mother's middle name.

I like Corinne. It's grown on me over the past year (first heard of it), and it's a sweet name. But, I would be the first to nn the owner of the name Cori. :)
BTW: I have a friend who has a rare-ish name, and does think, "Gee, wish my name was more popular." But, I like rare names, because it makes one feel unique. Not that I would know about rare names. :)
