Year1: This year Kiara and Tolly adopt two pets! A standard goldfish (who is actually verging on grey) which Tolly names Phyllis.
And a few months later, they take in a mongrel tan-coloured lurcher-looking puppy from a local shelter. Because Tolly named Phyllis, Kiara names the female pup Lottie.

Year2: At the start of a year Tolly bugs Kiara for another dog. She gives in eventually and from the shelter they bring home a black and white, collie-cross boy, whom Tolly names Shep.
Life with two young dogs is busy, but it's about to get even busier, when Kiara discovers she's pregnant! Not only that, but she is carrying rare all-identical triplet girls, who - after a relatively easy pregnancy which ends 4 weeks prematurely - come into the world with wavy light brown hair and hazel eyes. Kiara and Tolly name their three daughters: Addison Xiu, Kacey Xandra, and Leigh Xena.

Year3: Kiara takes the bold decision to quit her job. After going back several weeks ago after a short maternity leave, she feels that she is failing her children and becomes a stay at home mum. Good job too, because more babies are on the way...!
Into the world, Kiara and Tolly welcome a fourth daughter and their first son! The little girl is born with curly dark blonde hair and grey eyes, while her twin resembles his Mum with curly brown hair and hazel eyes. They're names: Asher Wolf and Rose Britannia.

Year4: Kiara and Tolly adopt a young girl from Ireland. She is already far behind in her development despite only being 18months old and social services think that she will benefit from being in a family with children of similar age - the defining reason as to why Kiara and Tolly are allowed to bring her home. Her name is Sapphire Scout and she has wavy light brown hair and hazel eyes.
Shortly after Sapphire comes home, the Cruise's are rocked by the tragic news that their mutual friend has died in a car crash. He leaves behind a devastated wife and two daughters aged 7 and 5. While she gets her head sorted, his grieving wife begs Kiara and Tolly to take in Lou and May - and their dog Freddie - for a few weeks. Kiara and Tolly are happy to help out, and welcome Lou, May, and Freddie into their busy house.

Year5: This is a year for a lot of ups and downs. Tolly's business has been hitting hard times recently and he has no choice but to call it a day, laying off his limited staff and shutting shop for good. It isn't long he's unemployed for though, because he is snapped up by a small company looking for an experienced business to take up an executive position.
