Last week, my cousin Dinis and his wife Lidia welcomed their fifth child, a son named Alfredo Luiz.

Older siblings are: Mario (7), Sebastiao (6), Josefina (4), and Elias (2). (I don't know the other kids' MNs.)

I like Alfredo. Luiz...not so much - one of my other cousins used Luiz as a MN for their baby earlier this year.

Alfredo is okay. Luiz isn't my style either.
Really like all the other siblings' names though.

My family has pretty good taste in names. I know some Brazilians really have truly awful names - for example, the most recent Miss Brazil was named Jakelyne (a phonetic spelling of Jacqueline).
