You could not be more wrong about the name Lucas! Our son is extremely handsome and he doesn't have red hair! He is 11 years old now, just started secondary school and he is fighting off the girls. I am actually worried on how popular he is with the ladies. He is such a gentleman as well. He always finds a way not to break their hearts! I do believe that names are very much part of who you are. Often you meet people who hate their name but not our son, he loves it and we always get some comments on how much it suits him! He is half French, half English. It is Lucas (sounding the s in England) and Luca (not sounding the s in France). French rarely pronounce the last letter. It is very popular in France. In England it is popular enough that it doesn't sound weird but not too popular that all the kids have got that name. So Lucas was the right choice indeed. I am so glad we didn't go for Joshua after all, too many of them.
