I find it a tad boring and expected, yes. I don't hate it, but I wouldn't ever use it for my own kid.
That being said, there is a reason why it's such a popular classic. It's pleasing enough in sound and there are a ton of nickname possibilities. I personally like Libby and Beth, and Betty if it counts. I'd also include Eliza except I prefer it as its own name (Beth too, but it also makes sense as a nickname.)
