It's mahr-LEES. It's a pretty normal name for me. I don't really care for it though, but it's not bad either.
Marliese would be mahr-LEE-sə or maybe a tad softer S, mahr-LEE-zə.
I prefer Marlies from these too. It looks neater and sounds a bit stronger than Marliese.
