Arie changes Taylor and Kate's lives in that they are now a little more stressed and on edge. They are finding her to be an easy first baby though. Taylor missed the birth as Arie came 3 weeks early and Kate was only in labour for 3 hours, by the time Taylor was able to leave work for the hospital, Kate had given birth. He was still the first to hear the news though.
During her pregnancy, Kate wrote a short story and entered a local competition. She won $5000! Her story is now being published along with the other stories that placed second, third and so on. They have put some of the money aside and have also bought lots of things for little Arie.
