They did not meet as often as they wished, as Vera was mostly land-bound whereas Aaron was oft deployed, but have kept in close contact, and a few months ago Aaron had finally proposed to her - a proposal Vera accepted. They plan to marry as soon as Aaron's current deployment ended, a relatively small and private wedding.

Sofie began dating Luke earlier this fall. The two of them had been friends for a few years, but neither had really been interested in dating until now. Then, Luke asked Sofie to the fall dance and they decided to date a few weeks later.
The six Nicholas kids had been begging for a pet since Sofie could talk. After they brought the kitten home, Danny and Ariel knew they were in trouble. None of the kids could agree on a name. Sofie wanted to call the cat Lola, Maya wanted Josie, Tony wanted Rocky, Drew wanted Giraffe, Nathan wanted Peyton Manning, and Anna was dying to name the kitten Kitty. In hopes of keeping the house out of World War 3, Danny helpfully suggested that each child give the cat one name, and the names would be lined up in birth order like one really long first name. This went well, until one of the triplets' friend's moms asked Ariel why they had so many cats...

Janelle just received a large inheritance. Her elderly aunt passed away, and due to her favouritism of Janelle, left everything to her. Janelle has put the majority of the money away, in the hopes that it can be used for university funds for her children. She and Noémi also use a small amount to go on a family vacation, staying in the country. It is there that Janelle and Noémi meet Petra's new boyfriend, Isaac.
Isaac is welcomed, and proves to be an immediate favourite with Axel, who sticks to his side the entire vacation.

Sophia and Theo had only been a couple of a few months when they discovered that Sophia was pregnant. They were shocked, but very happy. They got married in a private ceremony a month later and started preparing for their baby to join them.
Sophia was getting big very soon though, and the couple decided to do an ultrasound to find out if everything was alright. It was then and there that they learned that they were having a daughter, but also three sons. Quads! Theo nearly fainted, and Sophia looked very pale. They were both nervous, but decided to make the best of it. Leah, Sam and Aleksey promised to help out with the babies once they were born.
Two months early, William, Jack, Adeline and Isaac were born. They stayed in the NICU for a while, but they're all home now. Sophia and Theo don't plan on having more children, they are already exhausted....
