[Opinions] Leander
Hey, guys! What do you think of the name Leander? In French, Léandre is fairly common, but I was wondering if the English equivalent seems weird or strange? Is it usable in an English-speaking place? Or do you think that non-name-nerds would think the parents were crazy or mean?Do you prefer Felix Leander Jerome or Leander Felix Jerome or another arrangement?Thank you :)

I personally find no appeal in the name Leander.
In the situations that I have seen it, it either appears to be comical and dull, or it is incredibly grandiloquent and pretentious.Felix Leander Jerome is my favored option. That said, I dislike double middle names.

It's actually my favourite boys'name. I think it's usable, since -ander is a likeable suffix to most people (Think of Alexander and some of its derivatives) I like Leander Felix Jerome better, but my own combo (Which I'd use for a son) is Leander Marcus Richard.

I personally really like it. And it's not too strange, the "-ander" ending is well known through the popular name Alexander, so it shouldn't be received too negatively, but as with all names that people are not familiar with there will always be some who ridicule it.
I'd prefer Leander in the first name spot to Felix, but this is just because I associate Felix so strongly with cats that I couldn't see it on a human. The fluidity of the combo remains good in both cases.
