Jon was a Harry Potter fan and Sephe a Jane Austen fan, so when they had a new baby daughter, they decided to name her after some of their favorite characters. Jon wavered between Lily and Hermione, but Sephe, having grown up with a long Greek name herself, much preferred Lily. Sephe, on the other hand, wavered between Anne and Elizabeth. Naming her child Anne Elliot was almost too tempting to pass up, but Elizabeth Bennet was really her favorite character, and besides, Jon thought it went better with Lily. So Lily Elizabeth it was.

Note: I meant to change Sephe's name to Elliot back when she married Jon, but apparently forgot and didn't notice until just now.
