And they are all Swiss, except for us :)

Kids are baby - pre school age, all are prn. the German/French way. I = ee, J = y. Spellings are a guess, sibsets together.

Stella & Vincent

Tina & Lea (Lay-uh)
Paola/Paula & Johanna/Johannah (Y sound; not like Joanna)
Laura (Laow-ruh not Lore-uh) & Anna
Charlie (boy)
Melina
Sara (mine. Sah-ruh NOT Sair-uh)

I like almost every single one. They're all pretty classic, something almost unheard of for babies today in here in the US...
I'm guilty of liking Lou for a girl but Liv sounds too much like 'live', even if they don't speak English. Is it a nickname for Olivia?
Stella and Vincent is a lovely sibset. They really go well together. Laura and Anna are lovely as well, its nice to see Laura on a little girl. And I always love Charlie for a boy, but mostly if its short for Charles.
And Sara is a lovely name! despite popularity, I'll always love Sara / Sarah. Nice choice!

Yeah classic is very normal here. You can spot the American and Canadian expat kids from a mile away.

Liv could be a nn, but I doubt it. Liv is a very popular full first name here and they are not so big on nn's, and short and sweet no nonsense names are in.

Sara - thanks. I'm her nanny, so I didn't actually have anything to do with the choice. My taste is a little more internarional unusual!

Not sure if Charlie is his full name or a nickname. He's called Charlie 100% either way.

I agree that Stella and Vincent are good together
Lea is pretty
I've always thought that Laura (pron. the American way Lore-uh) is very boring, but I like it pron. Laow-run.
Melina is pretty and cute
Sarah pron. sah-ruh is pretty, but sadly where I am it would always be pron. wrong!

Here Sarah and Sara are two different names, so we never have pronounciation problems with the locals, just with Americans and Canadians we meet. Which bugs me cause it's almost always a verbal introduction. I get that Sara = Sarah in some places and I'm not saying its wrong to say it like that, but it is wrong to say my Sara's name like that. If you see it written and pronounce it like that, couldn't care less. But when I say "this is Sara" and they say "oh hi, Sarah"...that bugs me. There's a Canadian lady we see every other week or so, and she's known Sara since she was a baby. After nearly 21 months, she STILL calls her Sarah.

Anyway /tangent! Most of the time it gets the right pronounciation here!

Melina, Liv and Lea are very popular here. And Stella is mega popular.

Laura would never get Lore-uh here, and I've gotten used to it that way and much prefer this version!
