Four more years have passed in the Thompson family. Wil joined Bekah in retirement this past year. Now the two of them are traveling around the country seeing their family and enjoying life free of work constraints.
Matt and Ella Grace's girls are growing up. Olivia is 13, and Evie is 10. The four of them are an adventurous, tight-knit family. Olivia still enjoys school and gets good grades, but sometimes gives her parents grief about doing homework. Evie, on the other hand, is typically done her homework by the time the bus rolls in. She spends her afternoons reading, investigating, and learning more.
Jenny and Marcus' little boys are in Kindergarten now. The two of them are trying to have another child, but haven't yet been successful. They started on fertility treatments about a year ago, but so far, no luck. In the meantime, they are enjoying time with their twins. Ricky and Ryan are about as alike as two boys could be. They like the same things, hate the same things, and are practically inseperable.
Isaiah and Rachel are enjoying life with their little brood too. Noah, 9, likes to explore and wants to be a Marine like his Daddy. Gina, 7, wanted to be a Marine too, but has recently started telling people she wants to be a doctor so she can help people feel better when they get hurt. Owen, 4, likes to bang on pots and pans and he is always trying to be the center of attention. He's now having to share the spotlight with younger brother, Ezra, who is 18 months.
Eli and Serena's family is doing well too. Their eldest, Manda, is 12. She is a smart, sassy girl who fights against the injustices in her world every day, and has gained a reputation for it. Tory, 9, recently started taking harp lessons. She has already mastered basic piano and flute skills, and wanted to try something more difficult. Tyler, 8, likes baseball, creepy crawlies, and playing football with his friends at school. Kayla, 7, is the diva in the family. She is an outgoing, outspoken, drama queen sort of child, but very loveable. She also likes to dance. Charlotte Rose is the youngest of Eli and Serena's children. She is 3. She likes to color and play "princess dress up" when Kayla will do it with her.
Peter and Maggie moved to Detroit, Michigan, after Peter was traded to the NHL team there. He is still playing, and has made a name for himself as a stand-up, solid player who brings his A-game every night. He isn't a big bruiser or a flashy scorer, but he is someone dependable. Maggie, who has never lived in the US before, is getting acclimated to America, and teaching her four young boys to do the same. Shawn, 6, is the eldest, and he is a protector. He is always looking out for his younger siblings, and he doesn't like to be separated from them. Derek, 5, is a bit of a wild child, but (surprisingly), Shawn has a very calming influence on him. Jacob, 3, is a quiet, watchful child. He looks at the world through his big brown eyes, and sometimes Peter wonders what exactly he's thinking. Logan, 2, is a daddy's boy. He is attached to Peter whenever the man is at home. He likes to build block towers and chase the girls around at preschool. Emma Joy is the baby of the family (and the first girl). Her older brothers love to dote on her, and she seems to like it. She is the only one of Peter Thompson's kids born in the United States, but everyone is adjusting, slowly.
Jonas and Rose's wedding went off without a hitch, and they settled into big city life. Jonas is still working for the same software company. Rose has tried several different acting jobs, but hasn't gotten far. She has done some modeling, however, and seems to have more success with that. The two of them have a one year old daughter, Emily. They also recently took in Rose's niece and nephew. Nothing is official yet, but when Rose's sister, Laura, was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer, she let Rose know that she was to take the kids if anything happened. Being a single mother, Laura didn't have a husband to help her out. Things aren't looking good for her, so Rose and Jonas offered to take the kids in now rather then turn them over to the foster system until Laura passes away. Nick and Lily are brave kids, but it is sometimes too much for them to handle.
