I like Elliot. My cousin was almost called this, but my aunt decided against it because she thought people would drop the T at the end and therefore make it sound trashy.
My only reservation would be that I would hate it to be shortened to El or Ellie as those are too feminine for me. Eli is nice though.

I love it. It's on my short list of names to use. I don't love Eli as an NN as I consider it a name unto itself and not a NN.

I don't think Eli is an obvious nickname for Elliot but it could work (though better with the spelling Eliot). I don't love the name, but I wouldn't mind seeing it on someone else's kid :)

I really like Elliott (prefer the double T spelling.) It has a very friendly, boy-next-door type of feeling to me. I'm not really an Eli fan, though.

There are two Elliotts at the day care I work at, so I'd say it's fairly popular.

I love, love, love Elliot. It's the name of my bunny who I adore and sees as my own little baby. I never thought Elliot had that many nickname options, but then I had my own little Elliot and realized that there's tons of them. I also call him Elli and Ellisen (Ellison might work better for you).
So yeah, I love Elliot. It's a great name and this is my favorite spelling of the name as well. Eli is great too, but I prefer it as a nickname for Elijah.

I really like it, but I prefer it as a middle name. I like Eli as a first name either on its own, or as a nn for Elias.

I know people will want to strangle me for saying this, but my problem with Elliot as a first name is that it sounds a bit feminine to me. I'm surprised it hasn't become unisex.
