[Opinions] Claire
There was a little girl I met on the weekend at a friends wedding, her step mum introduced her as Claire and I thought, for a name I once hated I actually was pleasant,y surprised to see it on a little girl it was cute and sweet and suited her. Then I saw the table placings on the wall. It's not Claire! It was Klayre! :-( ick

I know two girls named Claire, but fortunately the traditional spelling. I agree that Klayre is bad.

Worst spelling of that name I've ever seen. Poor little girl. :(

It's horrid. Makes you want to pronounce it CLAY-er

Exactly. I wouldn't pronounce that poor child's name as Claire, if I saw it in print.

Ugh, that's pretty awful! They've used both the trends I hate - replacing Cs with Ks, and adding extraneous Ys. At least they didn't add -lyn or -leigh on the end!

http://onevignette.com/2013/05/07/theyll-just-wear-name-tags-to-their-job-interviews/Your post reminded me of this blog post. Why parents feel the name needs to "look" unique is beyond me. Be unique but spell conventional. I commend the mother in this blog post.
