This is a Japanese girls' name. It's probably best known in Japan as the name of the singer and voice actress Rie Tanaka. I looked it up in the submitted names, but the Rie listed was an unrelated name from another language.

Does anyone know what Rie means in Japanese? What are the possible kanji for the name?

it write like this (田中理恵 Tanaka Rie)
and it mean:

ri (理) mean: logic, arrangement, reason, justice or truth

e (恵) mean : kindness, favor, blessing, grace

Rie Tanaka uses 理恵:
理 = logic, reason, justice, truth
恵 = favour, blessing, grace, kindness
