Rather begs the question of where Esther comes from, doesn't it? Not easy to be both authentic and Hebrew! But I don't know if your source was being accurate and referring to modern Hebrew - if it means biblical Hebrew I'd expect an h on the end, like Josiah etc. I don't think I've ever seen it, but I also find it reminds me of vaguely occult topics - in which anything probably goes!
