[Opinions] Re: Quinn

It's more a girl name, at least for the next decade or so, because of several TV shows, because it's similar to Gwen and Lynn and other feminine K*in names (Kaitlin, Keelin, Kaylyn) - and mostly because it's already getting used a bit more for girls than for boys. I think it makes a nice name for a woman/girl - it's the name of a friend's daughter and to me it doesn't seem really anything but a nice and trendy name. Although I think it will date like crazy as a female name fad, eventually I think it'll just be unisex. If I were a boy born today I would not really want to be named Quinn. It's a lot like Kelly - it works fine on a man, and even has appeal that way, it's not un-masculine... but it's probably not the easiest name for a guy to bear right now. I think it could come off as a mama's boy name like Ashley.
