I'm thrilled to see
Jacquetta - it's a guilty pleasure of mine (
Jacquetta of Luxembourg) but I wonder if she'll get "jacket potato" teasing - I think the name of the English scholar
Jacquetta Hawkes was pronounced ja-quet-uh (i.e. the q wasn't silent as in
Jacqueline), so if the q is sounded this might avoid that jacketty feel.
I've also seen a suggestion online that the correct pronunciation is ja-quee-tuh (I don't like that at all) - wish I knew for sure!
Anyone here know?
Jacquetta Elizabeth Joy - lovely but prefer it with just the first two names.
