Rugrats.
My first thought is the bratty little girl from the cartoon Rugrats.
Disregarding that, it is a lovely name. It is full of nickname potential and very feminine without being too cutesy or frilly.
I think another nickname or just saying "It is Angelica, not Angie" would work.
Also my mother in law is Angelika and she always goes by Angie.
