I think Carmen is great and I don't really like Saskia at all. It sounds so harsh and raspy to me. Like sandpaper. I kind of get the same impression from Saskia as like, Iris and Olive, maybe a little bit trendy but still pretty distinctive. Objectively Saskia is much less common than Iris or something but I've met a couple of Saskias and never known/heard of an Iris / Wilhelmina / Olive so that skews things. (By the way I really love Iris and I don't think it's too popular right now, just comfortably familiar. She'd probably still be the only Iris around)

I think Saskia works fine. One I knew was my friend's mum from Berlin, the other was like a 15 year old English girl. Works for both of them although it still feels pretty German to me. I don't get much imagery for Saskia, it's green. Carmen is more orange, like sunset coloured, and really beautiful and strong.
