I like Ivy, though not as much as Rose and not as much as I used to. For a while, it was one of my favorites, but my boyfriend shot it down. He works in the medical field, and it reminds him too much of I.V. He joked that he likes Ivy and Ringer (after Ringer's lactate) as a sibset.
I see Ivy a lot on nameboards, but not often in real life. It's been decades since I've met an Ivy, and I'd be happy to meet a little one.
My Ivy combo is Ivy Margaret. I agree that Ivy works well with a longer, more classic, middle name.
