I pronounce it as you do, almost, except that I say "an", rather than"Ahn". (I'm from Canada,)
Can you believe, I know a woman-quite old- named Antonia, and her nick-name is TUNA!That's terrible! True, she's doesn't have English as her first language (French), but still.
