[Opinions] Rhys and Rowan
What do you think of this for brothers (with older sister Heidi)? Too matchy? Is it bad that Rhys' middle name is Owen, and R. Owen is quite similar to Rowan?

I know a guy called Rohan, pronounced the same as Rowan. If you used that, there would be a H in every sibling's name, and it would be less similar to Owen.

I love Rowan and wouldn't let R. Owen prevent me from using it. Rhys spelled that way is great. Nice sibset.

Rhys and Rowan are fine as siblings, it's hardly like it's Nicola and Niklaus, or Emily and Emma. And they go really well with Heidi.
I think you're reading too much into R.Owen and Rowan, I don't think it would be problem at all :)

Rhys and Rowan go together well. They're a different style than Heidi, but they still go together decently. I like all three names.Owen and Rowan are very close. I definitely wouldn't recommend them as first names for siblings, but if one is a middle name and the other is a first name, it's much less of a problem. I know of a couple of families with siblings that have the same middle name. I don't see it as a big deal even though it's not something I would do myself.

I agree :)Heidi sounds fine with Rhys and Rowan (and theres no reason why siblings have to match anyway)As long as you don't call him Owen, I don't see a problem with it. Not something I would do, but as one is a fn and one a mn then you can get away with it.I love Rowan on a boy. Thumbs up.

Thank you! I never even realized Rowan was used as a feminine name until this afternoon. I don't think I've ever heard it on a girl. He's never called Owen, and only rarely is he called Rhys Owen (think: Pulling Everything Out of the Pantry-type situations.)
