[Opinions] Re: Nova??

Where I live, it's a product range of wood treatments and stone sealants. Their TV commercials went something like 'Nova - all over! Easy to choose, easy to use ...'.
Wherever anyone lives, it's a Latin adjective and it's feminine.
Wouldn't it become inappropriate in later life? I knew of an old lady who had always been known as Baby (she had a string of unattractive names that had been her grandmother's) and became known, bizarrely, as Auntie Baby.
