[Opinions] Lillian
What do you think of Lillian? It has really grown on me. I think I'd call her by her full name most of the time but I also like Lillie. The spelling makes me think of the early 1900s, when Lillie made the top 100.
Do you think Lillian is too common? I've never met a young Lillian. Could it be that almost all younger Lillians go by Lily all of the time and that using the full form is quite uncommon?
So what do you think of Lillian (sometimes called Lillie)?

I like Lillian. It's not a name that is popular among my age group, but as popular as it is among little girls these days, I'm sure there are quite a few who go by their full names rather than Lily. It ranked #22 in the U.S. last year, but popularity varies by state and even by region. I live in the U.S., but it doesn't seem to be that popular where I live in comparison to other parts of the U.S. I can't speak for every country in Europe, but going by the top 100 lists from European countries that I've seen, it doesn't seem to be very popular.
I think Lillian is a lovely name. I don't think it's common. I've never met someone called Lillian before.
I don't think Lillian is common at all! But from opinions on name boards I think it might grow soon, but not for a couple of years. There are definitely more Lillie / Lillys etc about than Lillian nn Lillie. Personally I prefer the look and sound of Liliana, for me it seems less dated and more "fun".
I do however really like Lillian, it would be nice for her to be Lillian for the majority of the time but occasionally called Lillie I see no problem with.

I think it is interesting...different yet similar to the trendy Lily. My grandmas name is Lillian, she is called Lil. It suits her nicely. I also know 2 little Lillians. It isnt really something I would expect on a little girl but I think it could work.
I dont think its too common...I think Lillie would help it get by a little better.
Overall, I'd say go for it.
