I like in the UK and here's what I think.
Adriana is a name that's cropped up a lot when I've been searching for names that i like, but I still find it difficult to get my tongue around and love Ariana / Arianne so much more. I do think it is easier said than Ariadne though.
I've no clue who Adriana Lima is, so... Yes, uncommon indeed.
I have always pronounced it as AD-ree-an-a, sorry to through a spanner in th words. But with a tweek it is practically ad-ree-AN-a. I prefer this pronunciation miles more than ayd-ree-AN-a. For me, living in the UK, I think you have no problem with using and expecting the ad-ree-AN-a way in an English speaking country.
