Help[Opinions] Isaline or Ysaline?
Your thoughts on the medieval name Isaline/Ysaline? Which spelling do you like better?
Both are legitimate, supposedly it stems from Isabel, Elizabeth, etc, and is related to Yseult, Isolde, etc but another theory is that it stems from Eusébe which apparently means pious.

I'm pretty fond of Y names for girls, so I'd say Ysaline. Isaline sounds more like some kind of ointment...

Out of the two spellings, I prefer Isaline. Ysaline doesn't bother me, but Isaline looks better to my eyes.

I never really thought of the saline thing but I can see what people are talking about.

I'd have to say Ysaline because it looks less medical. I can't get past the fact that "saline" makes up most of the name, though.
