I love Hermione too! I don't know if I'd use it, though. The association with Harry Potter is very strong. I am a Harry Potter fan and I think she would be an admirable character to be named after, but I don't know if I would bestow a name with such a heavy association on my daughter.

I really like Hermione but see the HP association as a problem. It's annoying because I don't even like Harry Potter, but the rest of the world do, and because it's such an uncommon name in the first place it would hold that association, I couldn't take all the 'so you like HP then' comments.
