Hope is nice, though I wouldn't use it myself. I prefer other virtue names to this one.
Dolores is not for me. The fact that the name means "sorrows" totally puts me off!
Maximilian I adore! It's such a strong and handsome name.
Zane I've always liked, but I'm not sure why tbh.

Hope - contrived. I don't even like the sound.
Dolores - my grandmother is Rita Dolores. She goes by Dolor. I strangely love the meaning. I don't like Dolly, Dora, Lola or Lolita. I just like Dolores.
Maximilian - love it. I think of (St) Maximilian Kolbe which is a good association imo
Zane - dislike it. It is just modern and blah.

Hope -- I love it, I like the meaning and the easy, light sound.
Dolores -- I don't personally like it...dont really like the nicknames either, Lola is alright.
Maximilian -- I actually like it, although I prefer the Italian version: Massimiliano; and their version of Maximo: Massimo.
Zane -- I don't care for it, I would prefer Dane, which has a similar sound.

Hope -love it, if I lived in an English-speaking country I'd use it as a middle name.
Dolores -I have a baby cousin named this and it's really grown on me. Don't like any of the nicknames.
Maximilian -love! I have a thing for -ian names.
Zane -like it, but would never use.

I love Hope.
A friend of mine has a cat called Dolores (nn "Dollan"), so for me it's a cat name (but I adore cats).
Maximilian makes me think of a spoiled brat (personal reasons).
Zane makes me think of "insane"...sorry.

Hope - enjoy the long "o" sound and the meaning
Dolores (and by extension Dolly, Dory, Lola, etc.) - unfortunate meaning; like Dolly, prefer Dori to Dory but like the sound, don't care for Lola at all
Maximilian - love it; youthful and energetic and mature and distinguished all together
Zane - have always liked this

I like Hope and Zane. Both are brisk, straightforward, and I think they'd be easy to live with.
Maximilian is too overwrought for my tastes, to the point that I find it sort of comical. I'd prefer Max or Maxwell.
I hate tired, sad, old Dolores. The nicknames are cute, but Dolores is so awful, I'd rather see them used on their own or as nicks for other names, like Dalia or Dorothea.
