Maia is lovely. It's sound is beautiful and it brings to mind ancient Rome and goddesses. What's not to love?
Maia Celeste and
Ingrid Maia are my stock combos for it. (
Ingrid Maia was my pseudonym on another site.)
I love both
Maia and
Maya, which I pronounce the same way, "MIE-uh." The only draw back to both names is the pronunciation free-for-all here in the U.S. It drives me nuts. Toss in
Mia (and who-knows-how-to-say
Mya) and it all goes downhill quickly. So frustrating for a name nerd. :-P
