[Opinions] Re: Alana

I pronounce all three of those as ah-LAN-ah.
I've only met and known a few women with the name Alana / Alanna / Alannah. Somewhere between 3 - 6 total and I'm not certain on their spellings. I mostly associate the name with a character from a book series that I read in 8th and 9th grade. The character was called Alanna the Lioness, written by Tamora Pierce.
1. Alanna
2. Alannah
3. Alana
I would assume that they spelled their name Alanna. Alana looks too much like Alan with an A on the end which makes me think that some people will mispronounce the name as Alan-ah.
I don't think this name seems boring or dated at all. The few Alanna's I've met have all been around my age or younger. Because of the book series I always get some medieval vibes from this name.
Alanna and its variants are very red to me since A's are true middle red and L's are dusty purple or gray and N's are black or navy. H's are a pinkish red but more red than pink. So Alanna and its variants are some of the most red fiery and romantic seeming names to me. I also get a bit of an athletic tomboy vibe from the name. It's both girly romantic and tomboy. I imagine Alanna and its variants to be fire signs in Western astrology, especially Leo the Lion, followed by Ares and lastly Sagittarius. Alanna makes me think of red roses, sunflowers, fire, the sun, sunsets and sunrises, and other things that are red or related to fire and the sun. I can picture an Alanna with any hair color but I feel that redhead fits the best. I usually imagine Alanna's having red hair and blue or brown eyes, for some reason not green eyes, but I can see hazel working. I imagine an Alana to be less outgoing and more soft and quiet than Alanna or Alannah but they all have fire to them and driven personalities.
